Ian's journey in financial services began shortly after graduating from Massey University with a bachelor in Information Science, with a Software Engineering major and an Entrepreneurship minor. He went on the hunt for a career that empowered the lives of the people around him, whilst putting his skill set to work. Ian soon became a client of a NZ owned mortgage & insurance specialist which he now works with.

As he familiarised with the industry and began to observe how Kiwis were managing money, he noticed a theme of spending habits which aligned with the current generation's stigma of instant gratification.

'We want the next best thing by yesterday.'

It may work for the few but as a majority, this sort of mentality does a great disservice to achieving our financial goals. That begs the question - what are your financial goals? This will of course differ from person to person, family to family. However one thing is for certain. All we need is a slight shift of focus from getting that next best thing or experience, to getting something that provides greater fulfillment on a deeper level. I truly believe that achieving financial empowerment presents opportunities for one to discover what it is that inspires true fulfillment.

When Ian saw first hand the simplicity of implementing an effective and powerful financial plan & strategy, he tasked himself with the mission to educate mortgage holders and first home buyers on how they can turn their dreams in to reality - much sooner than they realise.

​

Ian is very much a 'dreamer' himself (even has that t-shirt to go with it!). He is a petrol head who would spend every weekend at the race track if he could. Music is his other passion, having learnt various instruments throughout his upbringing.

​

He now lives in Warkworth, where he has begun his mission of empowering the financial lives of fellow Kiwis.
